Head to Hersey Cellar Door and Bar this October to see this beauty in the flesh and her landscape porthole series.
Tessa Marie Bartholomew is an emerging artist based in the Adelaide Hills. She has recently started dabbling in Landscapes and loves exploring unexpected colour pallets that contrast and bring new life to a composition.
Tessa’s heart has always been in the visual arts spectrum after completing her Bachelor of Visual Communication at UniSA she began a Graphic Design Internship with sustainable design company EcoCreative. It was here she discovered that she wanted to get away from the computer screen and work with her hands, having always been passionate about spatial design. Tessa then decided to further her studies and made the trek over to Melbourne
to study Visual Merchandising & Styling with RMIT.
After completing the course at RMIT she landed a job as a Designer & Project Manager for Melbourne 3D branding agency BrandScapes and quickly progressed to Studio Manager within the company. Designing, managing projects, clients and staff, Tessa learnt a range of life long skills that would translate into starting her own creative business.
Moving back to Adelaide with her partner after almost 5 years in Melbourne made sense to them, being close to family and friends was important yet familiarity was challenging but exciting at the same time. The Exhibition name Finding my way back home encompasses ‘home’ in the true sense of the word but also within ourselves and finding what we’re truly passionate about.
